OPINION BY DUBOW, J.:
*1116 A.M.M. appeals from the Order entered in the Allegheny County Orphans' Court dismissing her Petition for Expungement filed pursuant to 18 Pa.C.S. § 6111.1(g)(2) challenging the sufficiency of the evidence underlying her March 2000 involuntary commitment for mental health treatment pursuant to the Mental Health Procedures Act ("MHPA"), 50 P.S. § 7302. After careful review, we conclude that because A.M.M. waited seventeen years to challenge her involuntary commitment, the doctrine of laches applies to bar her expungement action. Accordingly, we affirm.
