Defendant, Earnest Langston, appeals from judgments of conviction, after a jury trial, of two counts of robbery in the first degree, § 569.020, RSMo (1986); three counts of armed criminal action, § 571.015, RSMo (1986); kidnapping, § 565.110, RSMo (1986); sexual abuse in the first degree, § 566.100, RSMo (Cum.Supp.1993); stealing a motor vehicle, § 570.030, RSMo (1986); rape, § 566.030, RSMo (Cum.Supp.1993); and robbery in the second degree, § 569.030, RSMo (1986). He was sentenced as a prior offender to three terms of life imprisonment and to a total of 224 years’…
