The plaintiff, George S. Holmes, instituted this suit in 1899, to recover of the defendant, W. S. Weinheimer, a lot in the town of Mount Pleasant. The lot was sold by the sheriff of Charleston County ’as the property of William .Horry for the collection of the State and county taxes, on January 4th, 1897, and bought by the plaintiff; and he claims under the title made by the sheriff to him. On June 7th, 1897, a lot, which plaintiff alleges is the same lot, was sold by the intendant of Mount Pleasant as the property of W. H. Horry for…
