The appellee, “The Trustees of Purdue University,” a corporation, as plaintiff, instituted a condemnation proceeding in the Tippecanoe Circuit Court against Phillip A. Russell and. Mary J. Russell as defendants. The complaint sought to condemn the fee-simple title of said defendants in the land described in the complaint. The defendants,‘Phillip A. Russell and Mary J. Russell, each separately filed their written ob jections to the proceedings and subsequently filed amended objections.
