Petitioner, Freddie Joseph Hill, hereinafter referred to as defendant, was convicted by jury, on June 27, 1974, of the offense of Murder, in the District Court, Oklahoma County, Case No. CRF-74-244. Defendant was sentenced to serve a term of life imprisonment. This conviction came after defendant’s first trial was declared a mistrial because the jury was unable to reach a verdict.
