{¶ 1} Johnny C. Baker appeals from his conviction and sentence following a guilty plea to kidnapping, a first-degree felony.

{¶ 2} Baker advances five assignments of error. First, he contends the trial court erred in failing to be sure that he understood the nature of the charge when he entered his plea. Second, he claims he was "convicted upon an indictment and bill of particulars that contained structural error[.]" Third, he alleges that he received ineffective assistance of trial counsel. Fourth, he asserts that the trial court erred in impermissibly involving itself in plea negotiations.…
