WALTERS, Chief Judge.

Leslie Trent appeals from an order of the district court refusing to modify a misdemeanor sentence imposed upon him for possession of a controlled substance by an inmate. We affirm.

While represented by the Ada County Public Defender’s office, Trent pled guilty to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance by an inmate. I.C. § 18-2511. On June 4, 1993, he was sentenced by the district court to a period of six months in the Ada County jail.
