Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Westchester County (Cowhey, J.), rendered July 31, 1986, convicting him of assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

We find unpersuasive the defendant’s contention that the evidence was not of adequate quantity or quality to sustain his conviction. Viewing the evidence in the light most favorable to the People (see, People v Contes, 60 NY2d 620), we find that it was legally sufficient to establish the…
