HOOD, Judge.

This is a workmen’s compensation suit instituted by Louis Johnson against W. C. Fatjo, Inc., and its insurer, Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company, in which plaintiff claims benefits based on permanent and total disability, together with penalties and attorneys’ fees. Defendants answered denying liability, and alternatively pleading prescription. After trial on the merits, the district court overruled the plea of prescription and awarded compensation for a period of approximately eighteen months, subjct to a credit for wages paid in lieu of compensation.
