On April 8, 1994, the defendant was charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. On October 11-12, 1994 he was tried on the armed robbery counts and found guilty as charged. On April 4, 1995 1 the defendant was sentenced to serve forty years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence on each count, with the sentences to run concurrently.
