POSNER, Circuit Judge.

The defendant pleaded guilty to having distributed an illegal drug, resulting in a death. See 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), (b)(1)(C). Bécaúse he agreed to cooperate with the government in the prosecution of another person who had contributed to the death, he received a prison sentence of only eight years.
