The plaintiff, a Republican, brought this action in quo warranto and mandamus to challenge the installation of defendant Robert W. Burns, a Democrat, as a member of the Stratford Housing Authority. The trial court construed the relevant provision of the General Statutes, § 9-167a (d), as not providing the plaintiff with a statutory right to the relief sought. The court, therefore, rendered judgment for the defendants, from which the plaintiff has appealed to this court.
