On March 16,1979, Robert Daley, a Revenue Officer in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Hartford, Conn, district office, was examined under oath by two IRS Internal Security Division Inspectors in connection with the leak of confidential information about a taxpayer whose delinquent personal income tax files Daley was processing.
