HOGAN, Judge.

This appeal was taken by Teresa Gail Westrich, now Teresa Jansen, from the trial court’s refusal to award her an attor*874ney’s fee in a proceeding to modify the child custody and support provisions of a decree of dissolution of marriage. It is settled beyond cavil that awarding attorney’s fees and allowing expenses of litigation under present § 452.355, RSMo 1978— which applies to this case — is discretionary with the trial court and that its ruling will be reviewed only for an abuse of discretion.
