The plaintiff contends that the board of education, in permitting the pupils to leave during school hours for the purpose mentioned, is permitting a curtailment of the regular school hours for secular education, for which he and all citizens are taxed; that such action violates the provisions of the Constitution of the State and of the nation, respecting religious liberty, and the separation of Church and State; and that religious teaching cannot invade the school premises nor the regular hours for secular education, without violating constitutional guaranties respecting religious…
