This is an appeal from a worker’s compensation suit wherein the appellants, Betty Jo Tatum, Bobbie Jo Hill, and JoAnne Brown, claimed benefits as dependent sisters of the deceased worker. Tatum, Hill, and Brown sought to appeal to the district court from an adverse ruling by the Industrial Accident Board. The appellee, the Second Injury Trust Fund of the State of Texas Industrial Accident Board (“the Fund”), filed a plea to the jurisdiction and motion to dismiss, alleging that Tatum, Hill, and Brown did not timely file their appeal.
