Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Schenectady County (Sise, J.), rendered August 26, 1996, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crime of unlawful imprisonment in the first degree.
Defendant was indicted for the crimes of burglary in the first degree, unlawful imprisonment in the first degree and menacing in the second degree arising out of an incident wherein he restrained his former paramour in her home while wielding a meat cleaver.
