PHILLIPS, Chief Judge.

Appellant seeks reversal of his conviction under a two-count indictment for falsifying information in connection with the acquisition of a firearm and illegal possession of a firearm. 18 U.S.C. § 922(a)(6),1 18 U.S.C.App. § 1202(a) (1).2

The District Court, after receiving the appellant’s not guilty plea to both counts, set the trial date for May 10, 1972. The United States Attorney, on that date, moved for a continuance of the trial until June 5 because of the illness and hospitalization of one of the Government witnesses.
