MEMORANDUM OF DECISION

RICHARD L. BOHANON, Bankruptcy Judge.

Amarex is general partner of several oil and gas drilling partnerships. It and the partnerships are debtors in possession. Pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 510(b) (Supp.1985) the proponent of a plan of reorganization now seeks to subordinate certain claims of the limited partners, who are plaintiffs in a class action complaint pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, to general unsecured claims. 1 The class action plaintiffs aré limited partners who purport to represent the interests of all limited…
