William A. Beddaway died on March. 14, 1957 at the age of 68. He had executed a will on June 25, 1931, the original of which was destroyed under circumstances which will be later described. A copy of the will was admitted to probate on April 22, 1957 in the circuit court of Clackamas County. Dallas Beddaway and Dorlis Moore, son and daughter respectively of William by his first marriage, filed a petition contesting the will.
