MEMORANDUM-DECISION AND ORDER

McAVOY, District Judge.

In this action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, the plaintiff, Cynthia Grantham Wright, alleges that she was dismissed from her position as Secretary to the President of the State University of New York College at Utica/Rome (the “College”) by the defendant, Peter J. Cayan, the President of the College, without due process of law. More specifically, the plaintiff claims that she had a property interest in her continued employment with the College and that her dismissal without notice and an opportunity to be heard deprived her of such property…
