*896 ¶ 1 The police entered a house in Harvey to execute a search warrant and found defendant Danny Loggins, along with three other people, sitting around the table in the dining room. Defendant sprang up and ran out the back door, leaving behind a handgun that had been within arm's reach on a nearby chair. He was arrested, unarmed, in the yard. The police found cocaine in a drawer in the dining room and assorted paraphernalia nearby.
