Respondent brought this action against appellant to recover two cows and a calf, together with damages for their detention. The complaint alleged ownership in respondent and that appellant came into possession of said animals wrongfully. Appellant filed an answer to the complaint in the way of a general denial, and an affirmative defense alleging that he came into possession of said personal property at execution sale against J. D.
