In their answers or by separate motions, the defendants have moved to dismiss this action for lack of jurisdiction over the subject matter. Fed.R.Civ.P. 12(b) (1).
For the purposes of the present motions it is sufficient to note the following background, as disclosed by the complaint and affidavits filed by the parties in support of their respective positions.
