This is an indictment charging the defendant with the crime of abortion. The case" was tried before a justice of the superior court sitting with a jury and resulted in a verdict of guilty. The defendant filed a motion for a new trial upon the usual grounds, which was denied by the trial court. The case is now before us solely on the defendant’s exceptions to the rulings of the superior court admitting in evidence a hospital record of the Rhode Island Hospital, all other exceptions being expressly waived.
