Plaintiff Remington Arms Company (“Remington”) seeks a declaratory judgment as to whether comprehensive general liability policies and first layer excess insurance policies issued by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company (“Liberty Mutual”) require Liberty Mutual to defend and indemnify Remington in actions brought against Remington by the federal and state governments and private parties for environmental contamination at three Remington sites in Connecticut.
