BOWMAN, Circuit Judge.

Frank Dennis Felix was convicted after a jury trial of attempting to manufacture methamphetamine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) and 846. 1 The District Court 2 imposed a fine and sentenced Felix to seven years in prison. Felix appeals his conviction. We affirm.

Evidence presented to the jury was essentially as follows. Government witness Paul Roach testified that during the spring of 1987 Felix furnished him with methamphetamine-making chemicals and equipment in exchange for lessons on how to “cook” (i.e., produce) methamphetamine.
