Johnny Wayne Taylor sued Golden Rule Insurance Company, Phil Seagraves, and Bill Rayburn on October 16, 1986, alleging breach of his insurance contract with Golden Rule, negligent failure to procure insurance, and fraud. Golden Rule's answer included a counterclaim for rescission of Taylor's contract, based on a material misrepresentation in Taylor's application.
