The case sub judice presents us with the issue of whether a grandparent seeking custody or visitation rights of a minor grandchild may be assessed guardian ad litem1 2fees in the litigation she initiated. Denise Taylor, the grandmother against whom such fees were assessed, presents us with the following four questions:
