On March 5, 1999, Laurence Broggy (plaintiff), who was employed by International Service System, Inc. (ISS), reported to work at 75 Rockefeller Plaza, a part of the Rockefeller Center complex in New York City. ISS (subsequently renamed One-Source Facility Services, Inc.) is in the business of providing cleaning and maintenance services to commercial building owners and managers, and plaintiffs supervisor had instructed him to wash the inside of 75 Rockefeller Plaza’s eighth-floor windows.
