Helena Barrett, who then had a settlement in the defendant city, was on May 21, 1884, convicted of an assault with intent to murder, and sentenced by the Superior Court to the reformatory prison for women for the term of five years.…

The question raised by the agreed facts is, whether a woman sentenced to the reformatory prison for women for five years, and properly removed to a State lunatic hospital, is within the St. of 1883, c. 148, § 1.
