¶ 1 The Commonwealth appeals from a September 26, 2006 order suppressing drugs seized from a motor vehicle pursuant to a protective search for weapons conducted after a lawful traffic stop.1 We reverse and remand.

¶ 2 On September 27, 2005, a petition for an adjudication of delinquency was filed against then sixteen-year-old O.J., Appellee, based upon his commission of the offenses of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, and possession of that controlled substance with intent to deliver.
