Rafael Newton Aguila appeals from the final judgement of the Southern District of Florida in a trademark and patent infringement suit filed by Edge Systems LLC and Axia Medscienes, LLC. 1 Specifically, Aguila argues that the district court abused its discretion by dismissing one of his affirmative defenses, imposing Rule 11 sanctions, denying his motion to strike the expert report of Edge Systems’ patent infringement expert, and granting a protective order that reduced the number of depositions Aguila was allowed' to take.
