ALDRICH, Senior Judge.
On the night of July 18, 1969, Mary Jo Kopechne was accidentally drowned at Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts, under circumstances which attracted national, and, indeed, international attention. Because of the possibility of criminal activity in connection therewith a district court inquest was ordered. Massachusetts district courts having no official or regular reporters, plaintiff Lipman,1 an experienced freelance court stenographer, was engaged by the County District Attorney, one Dinis, to record and transcribe the testimony.
