On May 7, 1982, Clark Pipe and Supply Company, Inc. (“Clark Pipe”), a wholesale pipe company supplying the offshore construction industry, filed for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. Immediately after the filing of the order for relief, the major vendors of Clark Pipe (i.e., Nichimen Company, Inc.
