¶1 After twenty-four years of marriage, Elizabeth (“Liz”) and J ames (“Jim”) Harris divorced. Their two grown daughters no longer lived with them at the time of dissolution but their youngest daughter, still in high school, divided her time equally between her parents’ homes. The only issues before the District Court involved the division of the parties’ assets and whether Liz should be awarded maintenance, and if so, how much.
