Appellant was convicted for the failure to file the report required by Chap. 241, Sec. 9, Acts of the Regular Session of the 44th Legislature, 1935. The punishment was assessed at a fine of $1000.
Sec. 9, supra, reads as follows: “Every distributor shall make and deliver to the Comptroller on the 10th day of each month a report for the preceding calendar month upon a form to be prescribed by the Comptroller, which report shall be properly sworn to and executed by the distributor or his duly authorized representative and which, among other things, shall show the beginning and…
