This was an action on the case instituted by Edwat d Thompson and Richard Maris, in Prince-George’s county court, to recover the amount due on a promissory Jiote passed by Samuel W. Beck to James Beck, and endorsed by James Beck to the plaintiffs. The note was dated the 14th of March 1810, and was made payable 21 months after date.
