¶ 1. This is a medical malpractice case commenced by Roslyn L. Braverman against Columbia Hospital, Inc., its liability insurer and the Wisconsin Patients Compensation Fund (collectively, Columbia). We previously granted Braverman's petition for leave to appeal a nonfinal protective order barring Braverman from discovering certain records relating to Columbia's quality assurance procedures. The trial court issued the protective order pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 146.38(2) (1999-2000) 2 which bars the release of the record of a review or evaluation conducted under a health care provider's quality…
