Appellant sued to recover a debt due by appellee Johnson, secured by a chattel mortgage on two certain mules, and to recover the value of the mules as against appellee Hollis upon an allegation that he had converted the security, and from an adverse decision by the trial court has appealed.

The findings of fact of the trial court, upon which he based his judgment, are as follows:
