This is a wrongful death case arising out of an automobile collision in which Monica Ergle was killed when her car was struck by a pickup truck driven by Brian Edwards. Ergle’s husband, Robert (“Ergle”), acting individually and as representative of his late wife’s estate, brought the action against Edwards, his employer Herrin Business Products, Inc. (“Herrin”), and others. Herrin moved for summary judgment, and the trial court granted the motion in part.
