In an action to recover dam*567ages for personal injuries, etc., the defendant New York City Housing Authority appeals from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Bruno, J.), dated May 2, 2001, as denied its motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint insofar as asserted against it.

Ordered that the order is reversed insofar as appealed from, on the law, with costs, the motion is granted, the complaint is dismissed insofar as it is asserted against the appellant, and the action against the remaining defendants is severed.
