Anaya was injured replacing a hose on a front-end loader. He had purchased the replacement hose and a fitting from Brooks Auto Parts, Inc. He sued Brooks, alleging claims for breach of warranty, strict liability, and negligence. The case was tried before a jury, and at the close of the evidence, the trial court granted Brooks’ motion for a directed verdict on the breach of warranty and strict liability claims, but reserved its ruling on the negligence claim.
