WATHEN, Chief Justice.

Defendant Roy I. Abbott appeals from a judgment of conviction entered in the Superior Court (York County, Brennan, J.) on two counts of murder. Defendant entered pleas of not guilty and not criminally responsible by reason of insanity to charges that he shot his two young sons. On appeal, he contends that the Superior Court denied him a fair trial by failing to instruct the jury that it might consider evidence that he was suffering from an abnormal condition of the mind in determining whether the State had proved that he acted intentionally or knowingly.
