The parties here occupied reverse relative positions in the trial court, and hereafter they will be referred to as they there appeared.

Plaintiff brought this action to quiet title to the N.W. 1/4 of S.E. 1/4 section twenty (20), twp. sixteen north (16N), range 6 east (6E), in Lincoln county, Oklahoma, basing his claim upon color of title, and adverse possession and payment of taxes for more than 20 years.
