This dispute requires the court to decide if a bankruptcy trustee can subpoena an insurance company’s claims files on the grounds that the claims files are relevant to determining the nature and extent of property of the estate. The court’s decision discusses the issue of the ability of the trustee, under Bankruptcy Court jurisdiction, to subpoena insurance company claims files in an attempt to determine what may or may not be an asset of the estate.
