There can be no question that the certificate of fifty shares ■of stock in the Dime Savings Bank was the property of William K. Beed,' and that Kelsey had notice of that fact when he accepted the same as collateral security for the payment of Henry C. Seed’s note of November 30, 1872, in lieu of the Buehler note and mortgage.
