This was a suit by Hilliard Wilkinson against William Dix and Miles Wilkinson, to cancel a deed. The controversy relates to a tract of land in LaGrange,. Troup county, Georgia. The plaintiff and the defendants claim title under Amanda Wilkinson, who, it is admitted, was seized in fee of the premises. The plaintiff’s deed was executed on April 7, 1915, but was not recorded until January 9, 1917, after the death of Amanda Wilkinson. The defendants’ deed was executed on August 23, 1915, and recorded on August 25, 1915, before the death of Amanda Wilkinson. Both deeds by their terms are deeds of…
