Defendant was taken into custody around 11:00 p.m. at the home of Carnevale’s parents, where she resided with them, Carnevale, her son and their cousin. During an overnight police interrogation, partially recorded on DVDs and spanning at least seven hours and perhaps up to 11 hours, defendant provided two signed statements.
