We have before us an appeal by plaintiff from a final order of the district court affirming the administrative denial by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (Secretary) of social security disability insurance benefits under 42 U.S.C. § 423. On appeal, plaintiff raises two issues. First, he directly challenges the district court’s conclusion that the Secretary’s determination was supported by substantial evidence.
